A little dash of color…
While doing amigurumi you’ll probably have to change color once or twice. Whether it’s adding an adorable belly or adding eyes, I’m going to show you how to do it easily.

You can easily change color in the middle of a single crochet row by doing the following. Start a regular single crochet stitch:
1. Insert hook into next stitch, yarn over, and pull through. 2 loops on hook.
2. Here is where we’ll change color. With your new color, yarn over hook, pull through both loops on hook. Finished. Continue on with your new color.
See super easy!
If you’re needing to start a new color for the row like you’ll be doing in our homework, change your color by making your turning chain the new color and then continuing on like normal.
Again, super easy! 😀

Practice color changes!!
Let’s make a nice size piece of about 12 sc and about 3 rows. Giving us a nice foundation. Let’s change color and have a neat little square in the middle. So we’ll go 4sc, change color for 4sc, then back to original color 4sc. Let’s do this for 5 rows to get some good practice in.
Next, make another 12sc piece. Change color every row. Make a pretty rainbow. 😀 Remember you change to the new color with your turning chain to make it completely seamless.
